ABOUT SHELL BEACH

Shell Beach is a lakeside development in Little Elm, Texas, comprised of 61.6108 acres, containing 88 lots, which began in 1998.  The Shell Beach community sits on Lake Lewisville, boasting many beautiful lake vistas, and contains homes ranging from the high $200s to over $1 million.

Shell Beach is unique in that it is bordered on three sides by Lake Lewisville, protected from Metroplex noise/traffic/stress, and yet it includes all city utilities.  Additionally, residents have the pleasure of living adjacent to the 125-acre Cottonwood Park and Marina while being only 40 minutes from downtown Dallas.

Little Elm, the home of Shell Beach, is rich in history.  Little Elm lies on land that was part of the original Peters Colony and Empresario Grant by the Republic of Texas in 1841.  Named for a nearby creek, the community was formed by the consolidation of several small settlements, including Lloyd, Hackberry, Dickson and Hilltown.  The creation of Lake Dallas in 1925 and the Garza-Little Elm Reservoir in the mid-1950's encouraged further growth of the community.  The Town of Little Elm was incorporated in 1966 and includes over 21 square miles of land and 66 linear miles of shoreline.  The town's population has grown from 4,000 in 2000 to more than 30,000 in 2016.
